Biography
Matthew Weiss, MD, Cardiologist from Billings Clinic Heart and Vascular | Community Medical Center, provides outreach Cardiology Services to the residents of Sanders County from the Plains Family Medicine Office.
Non-invasive cardiologist, Matthew Weiss, MD, is originally from Maine, where his interest in the great outdoors was born. A graduate of Dartmouth Medical School, he completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at NYU and Bellevue Hospital. He continued his time at NYU, completing a fellowship in Preventive Cardiology before training in Cardiovascular Disease at The Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC, where he was Chief Cardiology Fellow. In Montana, he is the state's only Lipidologist (cholesterol disorder specialist). He is passionate about doctor-patient communication – prioritizing helping patients understand their own disease process and taking time to explain treatment plans in simple, relatable terms.
Outside the office, Dr. Weiss enjoys the mountains, particularly skiing.
