Price Transparency
Hospitals are required by Federal law to publish their standard charges for all items and services they provide on a public-facing website in a machine-readable format, at least annually. In compliance with the law, Clark Fork Valley Hospital has made available our standard price list, or Chargemaster, which can be downloaded in excel format from the link below.

Please keep in mind the following, as you consult the hospital Chargemaster:
- Healthcare services are not typically charged as a "package" price, but rather on the basis of the specific service components that are ordered by the provider and provided to the patient. These consist of facility charges, such as room charges, visit charges, and surgery charges, along with supply, medication, laboratory, imaging, procedure, and therapy charges. Professional fees for the physician or ancillary provider are generally billed separately.
- In some cases, prices might vary depending on the setting of the care delivery, which is demonstrated by different fee schedules presented.
- The pricing for certain items, such as pharmaceuticals and surgical supplies are based on cost which can change during the year. The included chargemaster is effective January 1 of the current year.
- Prices in the file are listed at standard charge, self-pay charge, and prices paid by our most common contracted insurers are listed as well as well as the minimum and maximum contracted price. Please note that we discount self-charges for patients without insurance for prompt payment and financial assistance. If you do not see your insurance company listed, we ask that you contact a financial counselor who can make an inquiry about coverage and reimbursement.
