Nominations for Extraordinary Care

Hospice care for my dad started in November 2022. My dad went downhill fast which was very difficult for all of us who loved him. My dad was struggling and in a lot of pain. Jeanette was our life line. She came to the house almost everyday, answered all our texts and phone calls. My dad's symptoms kept changing and all we wanted was for him to have comfort during his last weeks of life. Me, my sister, and both our husbands all live in Washington State and came to my dad's house in Trout Creek, MT when we learned he could no longer care for himself. Thanks to Clark Fork Valley Hospice Services and Jeanette, she came to our aide whenever asked and even picked up my dad's ever changing comfort meds at the pharmacy in Thompson Falls allowing us to be with him.

Jeanette lives just down the road from our dad's house and even takes drives through his driveway when the snow accumulates to deter people from knowing his place is empty. She got along with my dad and he trusted her - not an easy feat! She would put his mind at ease that what we were doing, the care he was getting and the meds he was on was all in his best interest. With the mental confusion that comes at the end of life, Jeanette being able to bring a sense of peace to all of us, on a daily basis, was such a great relief. The amount of comfort Jeanette brought to all of us and especially my dad was invaluable. We will forever be grateful to Jeanette for the phenomenal care and immense comfort she provided.

Since day one, August 2022, Jeanette was my husband's Home Health Nurse and was so kind, patient and helpful to us. Always thorough and performed with great care and understanding. When my husband transitioned to Hospice, she remained our nurse and did all the paperwork, answered all of our questions and made sure we had all we needed to be comfortable during this hard time. She's very knowledgeable and trustworthy. She became family and friend to us both. Always just a phone call away if needed, day or night. We are very grateful to have her. Thank you Jeanette for bringing flowers to my husband on his birthday - it meant so much.
