Barry Fowler Memorial Golf Classic Raises Funds for CFVH Foundation

Seventeen teams (67 golfers) came out to enjoy a day on the greens at the Wildhorse Plains Golf Course on August 31st for the 2nd Annual Barry Fowler Memorial Golf Classic benefitting the Clark Fork Valley Hospital Foundation.

The Florida-Drop-Out Scramble formatted tournament raised over $24,000 which has been earmarked for the purchase of a bedside ultrasound machine to be utilized in the CFVH Emergency Department (ED).

The ProTech Roofing, LLC team, consisting of players Rudy Yoder, Ben Hostetler, Josh Wengerd and Merlin Kinsinger, took first place with a low score of 58.

Gary’s Glass and Auto Body, with players Jack Revier, Gary Revier, Scott Rice and Eddie Fultz, came in second with a score of 60.

Both leading teams were closely followed by a tied score of 61 held by Quinn’s and Ace Construction, out of Missoula. The two teams competed in a lengthy chip-off competition and the Quinn’s team, with players Kevin Boles, Scott Dicken, Carlo Pierini and Kenneth Beech, won with a shot closest to the pin to conclude the event.

“We were extremely happy with the turnout of this year’s tournament. As always, the generosity of our sponsors are truly what makes this event possible and we are thankful to have each of them as community partners,” shared Tonya Revier, CFVH Foundation Member and Tournament Organizer. “We would also like to thank each of our golfers, our volunteers behind the scenes and the Wildhorse Plains Golf Course representatives and staff for all of their contributions to the event.”
