Vial of Life Kits

Vial of life logo

Vial of Life (VOL) Kits are a simple, life-saving tool that helps first responders quickly access critical medical information during a home emergency. It includes a form that highlights your medications, allergies, medical conditions, emergency contacts and healthcare providers, allowing for faster and safer care when someone cannot speak for themselves.

Distribution Locations in Sanders County:

  • Sanders County Senior Centers
  • Thompson Falls and Plains Public Libraries
  • Clark Fork Valley Family Medicine Network Offices (Thompson Falls, Plains, and Hot Springs)

How it works:

Pick up your kit from one of the above locations. The kit includes a bag that will go on your refrigerator, a form to fill out with your personal health information, a clip magnet to attach the bag to your refrigerator, and two VOL red stickers - 1) to place on the bag and 2) to place on the entrance door to your home. THE STICKER ON YOUR ENTRANCE DOOR WILL LET FIRST RESPONDERS KNOW TO LOOK ON YOUR REFRIGERATOR FOR THE KIT.

Collaborative effort between: The Sanders County Health Department, Clark Fork Valley Hospital, Thompson Falls Woman's Club, Sanders Co. Ledger and the Plains Elementary 6th Grade Class.
