Biography
Dr. Valentine was raised on Vashon Island, WA. She became interested in pursuing a career in medicine when she trained as a volunteer firefighter/first-responder and later as an EMT. She was inspired to pursue family medicine as her area of specialty by observing the physicians in her hometown, who practiced broad-spectrum family medicine and were truly community role models.
She studied International Studies and Biology at the University of Washington, and then attended University of Washington School of Medicine. She spent much of her clinical training time in Montana through the WWAMI program. After graduation, she completed family medicine residency at Swedish First Hill in Seattle. She practiced for about 2 years in a variety of settings before joining Clark Fork Valley Hospital in 2015.
Dr. Valentine completed a fellowship in Integrative Medicine in 2018 at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine. She is one of several Certified Lactation Counselors at CFVH.
Dr. Valentine enjoys providing prenatal care, delivering babies, and caring for patients in the hospital. Outside of medicine, she enjoys yoga, trying new ways to stay fit, reading, learning, and visiting new places.
