Biography
Dr. Darren Herzog joined CFVH in February 2022. He provides essential orthopedic procedures from our main hospital campus in Plains, MT.
Dr. Herzog has a diverse background in orthopedics and clinical practice. He has extensive experience in general orthopedics, specifically trauma and fracture care. He prides himself on technical expertise, the pursuit of perfect surgical and nonsurgical outcomes and a high-tech, high-touch approach to patient care. Herzog subspecializes in total joint replacement, fracture care, sports related injuries, and evaluation and management of prosthetics and related joint infections.
Herzog is familiar to the area as a Montana native himself and someone who attended the University of Montana for his undergraduate degree. He later went on to medical school in Hawaii and completed a fellowship program at the University of California in San Francisco. His residency program took him to Michigan. He then returned to the University of California to complete his internship program.
