Biography
Before coming to CFVH, Glenn Notsch, Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) worked as a traveler in AZ, CO, MT, NM and WA for seven years in a variety of healthcare settings: skilled nursing, home health, outpatient clinics and hospitals. His most recent position was at a skilled nursing facility in Bullhead City, AZ where he worked for three months. "It was time to find a permanent job," he said, "preferably in Montana and in the general area of Missoula in a place I could see myself eventually retiring."
When he visited CFVH during his initial interview, he said the people were the deciding factor and he joined the team in October 2019.
He was pleased in his decision saying, "The people I met during the initial interview are the same way now as they were that day."
Notsch was living in the Phoenix area and owned a swimming pool equipment business for many years when he decided he was longing for something more. "I wanted to do something that mattered..something that could impact people's lives in a positive way," shared Notsch. From that moment on, he set his sights on pursuing a career in healthcare. He had always enjoyed staying fit so he naturally was drawn to Physical Therapy. He received his Associates of Applied Science degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from Gateway Community College in Phoenix, AZ in May 2011.
"I really enjoy helping people regain their functional independence and since selling our business I have never missed it," he added. "I enjoy working with seniors and I most enjoy working in hospitals, particularly the inpatient and Swing Bed areas."
Notsch has been married over 25 years to a wonderful woman named Mary Kay. He has one adult step-daughter and two grandchildren.
His passions outside of work include hiking, hunting, lifting weights, running, camping, travel, going to plays…and most recently participating in the local Trap League and also the self-defense class.
