Biography

Diana Reetz-Stacey, LCSW joined the CFVH provider team in October 2014. She is one of two Mental and Behavioral Health Specialists that make up our Mental and Behavioral Health Services Department.

Reetz-Stacey spent her childhood in Denver and Boulder, CO and later moved to Des Moines, IA. After college, she longed to be back in the mountains which landed her in Missoula where she primarily lived prior to relocating to Plains a few months ago.

While getting her Masters in Social Work at the University of Montana, she completed her practicums at St. Patrick Hospital, Hospice of Missoula and the Missoula County Health Department in Cancer Prevention.

Reetz-Stacey shared that she has a passion for Gerontology/Geriatrics which she focused on extensively in her studies preparing her for her current position. "With the aging of our society, the unique transitions, needs and challenges of aging will require new supports, systems and creative solutions," she says. "I am particularly interested in how medical and mental health issues overlap, which is what attracted me to working directly with patients here in a clinic setting. It is very difficult to separate out physical, emotional and spiritual issues and it takes a team of practitioners working together to skillfully and efficiently provide the support patients need. Likewise, preventive health and wellness combines both disciplines."
