The fight against breast cancer in Sanders County gets a big boost this month, after a check presentation to Clark Fork Valley Hospital in the amount of $1,000. The presentation from Rocky Mountain Bank was made on Tuesday, May 19th to Dr. Gregory Hanson, Clark Fork Valley Hospital CEO.

Clark Fork Valley Hospital, one of the beneficiaries of Rocky Mountain Bank’s Pink Ribbon Visa® Debit Card Program, provides breast cancer awareness and convenient access to preventive screening, while supporting all aspects of coordination for patients with cancer.

The Pink Ribbon Debit Card is free and available with all Rocky Mountain Bank personal checking accounts. "Each time a customer swipes their card to make a purchase the bank makes a 2.5-cent contribution to the medical center’s efforts for early detection of breast cancer," says Denise Benson, Rocky Mountain Bank Vice President. "We are honored to contribute to our community and the cause," added Lisa Fried de Reyes, Banking Center Manager.

The bank’s parent organization, Heartland Financial USA, Inc., has contributed more than $220,000 to cancer support groups since 2012 and of these funds, Rocky Mountain Bank has contributed $41,136 to Montana cancer support groups.
