Humana Contract Negotiations Update
Update on CFVH Humana Medicare Contract Status:

We are pleased to announce that we have seen very positive movement on our contract negotiations with Humana this past week. At this point, we feel we can say that we are quite confident that we will have a contract with Humana for Medicare Advantage for 2018. We are sensitive to the fact that we told the community that we would make an announcement of our status at the end of the month. However, we are awaiting final approval from Humana and we are told that will not be forthcoming until approximately February 7. We will do our best to have an announcement in next week’s newspaper and we will send letters to all of our BCBS Medicare Advantage patients next week, as soon as we receive confirmation from Humana. Please keep in mind that if you are a former Blue Cross Medicare Advantage subscriber, you have until February 28 to make a final decision on Medicare enrollment for 2018.
Thank you for your patience with this process. We have worked very hard to bring this contract issue to a conclusion as quickly as possible and will continue to treat it as our highest priority.
