Clark Fork Valley Hospital received a significant donation to help provide mammographies to women through a program operated by Rocky Mountain Bank of Plains and the bank's parent company.
Under the program attached to the bank's Pink Ribbon Visa card authority, a small amount is deposited to a fund for every transaction made using the card. the program resulted in a $1,000 donation to the hospital, announced Denise Benson, vice president of the bank.
"Each time a customer swipes their card to make a purchase, the bank makes a contribution to the medical center's efforts for early detection of breast cancer," said Benson.
A check was presented to hospital CEO Greg Hanson, MD Tuesday, May 19.
The Rocky Mountain Bank network, which operates in eight communities in Montana, has now donated $41,136 to Montana cancer support groups.
