Area booster clubs gain from hospital's physicals
by Sanders County Ledger
Sanders County booster clubs will receive over $4300 this year as a result of a beneficial program offered by Clark Fork Valley Hospital.
Tonya Revier, the community relations coordinator for the county’s largest employer, said that 100 percent of the proceeds from sports physicals completed at the hospital or any of their clinics are donated back to local booster clubs at the end of the school year.
This is the third year for the program and Revier said they hope to see it continue to grow. For the 2013-14 school sports seasons, the Plains Booster Club will receive $1700, the Hot Springs Boosters will receive $1200, Thompson Falls will receive $1000 and the Noxon Boosters will receive $450.
"The program gives back to our communities and promotes health and wellness among our youth," said Revier. "The hospital has committed to returning the $25 cost of the physical directly to the booster club of the athlete's choice [limited to Sanders County] when they have their physical completed at one of our facilities."
Revier said the hospital was pleased to be able to make such a sizeable donation to the booster clubs.
