Community Benefit

As a tax-exempt not-for-profit healthcare provider, it is a very important part of Clark Fork Valley Hospital’s mission to maximize and measure the benefits we provide to the communities we serve in Sanders County.

Some of the benefits we provide are more obvious and financial in nature, such as Charity assistance and sliding scale discounts to low income patients.  Other community benefits are not as well known, but are nonetheless diverse.  They are categorized as follows:

Community Health Services

Health education programs, community health screenings and health fairs

Community-based Clinic Services

Flu shot clinics and sports physicals

Health Professions Education & Workforce Development

Clinical training experience for student nurses and medical technologists

Subsidized Health Services

Those provided in the Emergency Room and our satellite clinics

Financial Contributions

Financial support for various local groups and activities

Community Building Activities

Community collaboration for Disaster and Emergency Planning as well as participation in various community activities such as Relay for Life and local events
