Company Overview

Clark Fork Valley Hospital and Family Medicine Network is a not-for-profit community healthcare organization providing services to patients since 1971 in Wildhorse Plains, Montana.

Clark Fork Valley Hospital is a 16 bed Critical Access facility serving the residents of Sanders County and the surrounding area. We additionally manage a Long Term Care facility with 28 resident beds.

In an effort to extend our quality of care, our Family Medicine Network operates four Family Medicine offices across the county including the areas of Bull River, Thompson Falls, Plains and Hot Springs.

Plains is located in the scenic Northwest Region of Montana and is the epitome of rural, western living. The Clark Fork of the Columbia Rivers winds gracefully beside the town which is settled in a gorgeous mountain valley. Spend a summer day casting for trout, bass, or pike or on a hike in the Cabinet Mountains. Winter weekends can be filled with cross country skiing, snowmobiling in the wilderness or downhill skiing at one of the seven resorts within two hours. The area is also well-known for its outstanding elk, sheep and deer hunting if you are avid sportsman. Interesting  golf courses can be found in both Plains and adjacent town Thompson Falls. Glacier National Park, the Crown of the Continent, is only two hours away. Nearby Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi, provides excellent opportunities for the sail boating, water skiing, or fishing enthusiast. Plains is only 70 miles from Missoula, Montana and 125 miles from Spokane, Washington if you seek more “big city” attractions while living in a rural setting.
