Clark Fork Valley Hospital will soon welcome Nicole Feliksa to its staff of Physical Therapists. Feliksa, originally from Michigan, attended Oakland University in Rochester, MI where she received both her Bachelor’s of Science degree and Masters in Physical Therapy.
With twelve years of experience behind her, Feliksa looks forward to serving patients at Clark Fork Valley Hospital and helping them lead healthier lives. “There is something very special about Clark Fork Valley Hospital that set it apart from the other opportunities I encountered.” said Feliksa. After meeting many leadership members and staff at an onsite visit, she said, “I was inspired by their passion for the mission, dedication to values and enthusiasm about the vision of CFVH and witnessed firsthand a display of teamwork and unity of purpose.”
When asked what she was most passionate about in terms of Physical Therapy, Feliksa stated she was passionate about healing. “You have to move well to live well and when a client is properly educated about the individual needs of their body, it often inspires them to try habits of healthy movement they didn’t realize they were capable of,” says Feliksa. “With the added use of skilled hands-on therapy techniques and modalities, I have the privilege to cheer them on to achieve their goals, increase their independence and boost their self-confidence. Encouraging and inspiring people to healthier living is what I love to do best!”
Feliksa plans to relocate to Plains from Mesa, AZ, where she has practiced Craniosacral Therapy (CST) for the last six years, working with patients 4 months to 74 years in age with chronic pain conditions. She will be accompanied by her husband Matt and three boys, Nathan (7), Benjamin (5) and Samuel (3 ½). Together, Feliksa and her husband have run a Jewelry Manufacturing business for the past eight years. In her spare time, she enjoys attending church, exploring the outdoors, engaging in new forms of exercise, scrapbooking, watching movies and raising her beloved Basenji’s (dogs). Of course, any activity that the boys are involved in, she tries to be a part of - school plays, sports and Sunday school. Feliksa also enjoys singing with a band and playing piano. She just acquired an electric guitar that she is hoping to find time to learn in the near future. Feliksa says, “Life is never dull for us!”
