Clark Fork Valley Cardiology Services

Clark Fork Valley Hospital was proud to announce the formation of Clark Fork Valley Cardiology and the appointment of Dr. Sharon A. Nichols, Board Certified Cardiologist, in January 2008.  Dr. Nichols joined the Clark Fork Valley Hospital Team, seeing patients out of the Plains Family Medicine office, after working the past seven years as a partner with the Central Florida Cardiology Group in Orlando, FL.

Residing in Plains with her husband and daughter, Dr. Nichols provides services to Sanders County and its surrounding communities in affiliation with the International Heart Institute of Montana and St. Patrick Hospital and Health Sciences Center in Missoula.

Heart Failure Clinic

Clark Fork Valley Cardiology is proud to provide a Heart Failure Clinic to the residents of Sanders County.  The goal of the clinic is to teach patients how to care for themselves and have a better quality of life while facing the challenges of Heart Failure.  Jennifer Carter, RN, is instrumental in patient education regarding lifestyle modifications and self monitoring.  New patients are being accepted at this time.  Please contact us to schedule an appointment or learn more.

Pacemaker Surgery

With the Foundation’s pledge to generously donate a new C-arm, permanent pacemaker surgery is on the horizon of services offered by Clark Fork Valley Hospital. Clark Fork Valley Cardiology will work closely with Wildhorse General Surgery to provide this lifesaving service to the residents of Sanders County. Our team of skilled professionals are gearing up to begin services in Summer 2009. Pacemaker Surgery will be provided in addition to our pacemaker clinic already offered at Plains Family Medicine.
