Since 2000, Massachusetts General Hospital has maintained an affiliate relationship with NCH Healthcare Groups. NCH was originally identified by MGH based on its reputation for quality healthcare and this partnership has successfully strengthened medical care in Southwest Florida for several years.
The affiliation calls for Mass General Hospital to work closely with NCH bringing the latest medical knowledge to the Southwest Florida area. Massachusetts General Hospital and NCH have conferences between primary care divisions to address patient care concerns and MGH also offers an annual symposium to NCH healthcare providers to discuss timely medical issues.
Many area residents and visitors to Southwest Florida have relationships with the physicians at Massachusetts General Hospital. The affiliation is designed to enhance continuity of care for these patients and to assist in referring patients from one facility to another.
