Denise grew up in a small community in Northeastern Montana and graduated from Montana State University with a business degree. She moved to Plains in 1985 after marrying Carl Benson who teaches in the Plains School system. Shortly after making Plains her home, she began working at Rocky Mountain Bank. She has worked in various capacities at the bank and is currently VP and Business Development Officer.
Denise and Carl have two sons, Bryce 19 and Cole 13.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading and spending time following various sporting events.
"My interest in serving on the hospital board is based on the belief that it is very important in a small community that its citizens take an active roll in their community," offers Benson. "Over the past 26+ plus years I have been involved with various boards; Sanders County Community Development Board, Plains Paradise Chamber of Commerce, First Lutheran Church Council, Plains Community Ambulance Board and the Emergency Services Council. I hope that my banking and business background as well as the knowledge I have gained from the various other boards I have been involved with will bring useful information to the Clark Fork Valley Hospital Board."
